A traveler's workout
So I started up my summer internship two weeks ago, and it has been a challenge to figure out what that means for workouts. The good news is that I did well this week! I worked out 3 mornings in my hotel room before work. Day 1 I made up my own little circuit workout using my bands and some of my favorite P90X moves. I did band work plus some plyo stuff to keep my heart rate up! The next day I did my own combined plyo/kenpo workout. The final day I actually did Slim in 6. I bought those years ago, and they are definitely good travelers. It was REALLY easy though! Wow, did P90X shape me up! I really, really miss it! I think I'm going to continue my off the cuff workouts for the summer using my favorite P90X moves, and then I'll get going on plus or insanity this fall. For now, I'm happy I've found something I can do when I travel!

Real life begins...
I am not officially done with P90X, and I'm trying to figure out what's next! This week is my first week of my summer internship, and I'm in Chicago for training. This one will be tough! We're going to be working really long days, so I'm not quite sure what I'll be doing. Last night, we went indoor rockclimbing for team building. Let me just say, goooooooooo P90X! Part of me was afraid of heights, so I only went a few stories up. I did however have no issue getting myself up the wall. AND, I'm not sore today! Most people tend to grip too hard with their hands and they get really sore forearms. You're supposed to use your legs as much as possible though because it is much easier to climb that way. I actually used my triceps some! Like I literally grabbed a hold of part of the wall and pushed myself up with my triceps. I was definitely proud of my increased strength!
Tonight we're going bowling, which is not really a workout. I'm going to try to do something in my room tomorrow combining some plyo stuff with some pushups, crunches, etc. The bad thing about the week is that I am being given food, so I have to choose wisely. I did have pizza yesterday, but for the rest of the meals I did fine. Some yogurt and fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch, etc. We'll see what today brings!
Ummmm, can I say again that I'm excited for Shaun T's Insanity?!?!?

2 more days...
I'm really excited to be wrapping up! I can definitely tell a difference over the past 90 (plus) days. I'm also really excited to try something new for a little while. I'll keep track of that as well until I move back in for another phase of P90X. I've got my eye on Shaun T's Insanity too, so maybe that will be my fall workout before the X starts again!
Thanks for following my journey along the way!

Final Week before Recovery!
I cannot believe this is almost over! I took more than 90 days to do it but that's okay! I took a break in the middle but picked back up where I left off. Woo hoo! I'm looking forward to some summer workouts and I'll start up another round this fall.
On another note, I tried Legs and Back at the gym and I wasn't as into that! There wasn't enough room for some of the lunge exercises, so I wasn't too pleased. I still burned 664 calories, but I think that one would've been better at home.
On still another note, a couple of you have asked if I'm going to become a coach. Interesting question.... I haven't really thought of it! I'll have to look into the details and see if it's something I'd like to do. I do love beachbody products, so that's a plus. I'd really like to try Shaun T's Insanity when it comes out too! That's sort of a side note... We shall see! For now I'll just finished up Round 1 of P90X!
